Whidbey Island - Freeland

Marlane grew up in the Midwest and came to Whidbey Island by way of Maryland and California. Whidbey Island, with its beautiful forests, expansive beaches, open prairies, snow capped mountains and Puget Sound, is the place that really felt like home to her. She has spent the past eight years establishing relationships and ties throughout the South Whidbey community by participating in Whidbey volunteer organizations such as Soroptimists of South Whidbey Island, Friends of Freeland, Washington Master Gardeners, Whidbey Island Share a Home (WISH), and Hearts and Hammers.

Marlane has her B.S. from Ball State University and her M.A. from Butler University in Indiana. After spending a number of years in education, she moved into the business world and has 25+ years of sales and business management experience. This experience has developed extensive skill in communications, finance, strategy and project management.

Her personal interests include traveling with her husband, cooking, gardening, and her pets Molly, Bella and Francesca.
